7 Things to Remember on a Bad Migraine Day
7 Things to Remember on a Bad Migraine Day

7 Things to Remember on a Bad Migraine Day, it too shall pass, focus on the good, be angry or sad but don’t stay there!

1. It’s Only A Day

It’s a matter of 24 hours, and you can really turn around after this day passes.

Life is like an ice-cream cone, you have to lick it one day at a time.

Charles M Schulz

2. Bad Days Are Part Of Life

Be prepared, we all face challenging days, some worse than others. Be ready with the tools you have to manage your condition.

3. Let Go

The art of letting go doesn’t come easily, needs to be intentional. Be fierce and put your effort into letting go of your past, the healthy you or the idea of the normal life.

“I demolish my bridges behind me…then there is no choice but to move forward.”

Fridtjof Nansen

4. You Got This

You are here, right? That means you have survived all your bad days. You are strong, you are not a victim, you are masterpiece and a warrior!

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart… I’ll always be with you.”

Christopher Robin (by A. A. Milne)

5. Focus On The Good

I read recently a thought that has stuck with me: “You find what you look for”. Think about that for a minute or two. Our minds are so powerful that we need to use them well. Focus only on what is right, on what is good and praiseworthy!

6. Everything Is Temporary

Think back to any memory, either good or bad. It’s over right? The point here is that nothing in this world is forever, it will pass. Hand tight you will through it!

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.

Lance Armstrong

7. It’s Okay to be Angry or Sad

Whatever you do, don’t push your feelings down. Let them be free, express either by screaming or crying. It’s ok to be angry or sad. Just make sure you don’t stay there.

Anybody can become angry – that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way – that is not within everybody’s power and is not easy.

Aristotle
